How to change your business hours
Your business hours tell Sara when showings can happen. She'll still answer calls 24/7 and always book — but showings outside of business hours get automatically nudged to the next available in-hours slot.
Steps
- Open your dashboard (link is in your welcome email and SMS)
- Scroll to Sara's playbook section
- Look for the working hours line. Edit it in plain English — e.g. "Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 10am-2pm, Sunday closed"
- Click Save policy
- Changes take effect on the next call (no redeploy needed)
Common formats Sara understands
- "Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, weekends closed"
- "Every day 8am-8pm"
- "M-F 9-5 Pacific" (you can specify a time zone if it's not your customer-record default)
- "Closed Sundays and major US holidays"
What happens outside business hours
A caller at 11pm asking to tour tomorrow at 9am → Sara books it (the showing is in-hours).
A caller at 11pm asking to tour at midnight → Sara offers the nearest in-hours slot ("I can do tomorrow morning at 9 or 10 — which works?"). She never refuses, only redirects to a workable time.
Emergencies (no heat, flooding, etc.) bypass business-hours logic and always dispatch immediately per your emergency policy.
