Frequently asked questions

How fast can Sara go live?
Most accounts are live within an hour of finishing signup. Forward your business number (or hand out Sara's new number directly) and you're live.
What happens if I go over my minute allowance?
Overage minutes are billed on the following month's invoice. Rates: $0.65/min on Starter, $0.55 on Growth, $0.50 on Pro, $0.45 on Enterprise. You can also upgrade tiers at any time from your dashboard โ€” no contract penalty.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no annual lock-in, no cancellation fees. Cancel from your dashboard at any time and Sara stops at the end of your current billing period. We're confident enough in the product that we don't need to trap you.
Do I need to get a new phone number?
Your choice. You can either (a) forward your existing business number to Sara โ€” most customers do this, it's invisible to your callers โ€” or (b) we issue you a brand-new local number and you hand that out instead. The dashboard walks you through forwarding setup for every major US carrier.
What if a caller asks for a human?
Sara offers to take a message and have you call back. You decide in your dashboard whether to allow live transfers and to whom. By default she takes the message and texts you a summary.
Does Sara handle tenant maintenance calls?
Yes โ€” that's about half of what most of our customers use her for. She captures property, unit, issue, urgency, callback number, and texts you a clean summary in seconds. Emergencies (no heat in winter, flooding, gas leak, security threat) get tagged URGENT and texted to you immediately.
What calendars does Sara support?
Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 / Outlook, and Apple iCloud. You connect your calendar via a one-tap link we text you after signup. Reschedules and cancellations sync both ways.
Can Sara speak Spanish?
Yes โ€” Sara speaks Spanish on day one. She detects the caller's language automatically and matches it. Other languages are on the roadmap; if you need a specific one for your tenants, let us know.
Does Sara integrate with my PM software (AppFolio, Buildium, etc.)?
Today we ingest your property list via CSV upload or via our dashboard. Live two-way integration with AppFolio and Buildium is in the works (we've submitted partner applications to both). Until then, a manual CSV sync covers most workflows.
Can I customize what Sara says?
Yes. Each customer has their own policy text (pet policy, application process, business hours, fair-housing-safe phrasing, etc.) and per-property notes (lockbox code for agents, owner notes, listing URL). You edit all of this in your self-serve dashboard.
What about call recording and transcripts?
Every call is transcribed for the post-call summary text you receive. Full transcripts are available in your dashboard. We do not share recordings or transcripts with any third party โ€” see our Privacy Policy.
How do I know if Sara missed a call?
If Sara fails to answer for any reason (system error, hard cap hit), you get an immediate text and email alert (configurable). In practice, Sara's uptime is the same as Cloudflare's and Vapi's combined โ€” north of 99.9%.
What about my data?
Your property data, call data, and tenant data are stored encrypted at rest, are never sold, and are never shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for specifics.
