How to connect your Apple iCloud calendar

Apple iCloud calendar uses CalDAV (Apple doesn't offer OAuth for calendars). You'll need to generate an app-specific password from your Apple ID — not your regular Apple password.

Steps

• Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID
• Click App-Specific Passwords → + Generate an app-specific password
• Label it "SaraDesk" so you remember why it exists
• Copy the generated password (looks like `xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx`)
• Open the calendar connect link in your dashboard
• Choose Apple iCloud
• Enter your Apple ID email and the app-specific password
• Submit

Why an app-specific password?

Apple requires this for any non-Apple app that needs calendar access. The app-specific password only works for the app you generate it for — it can't be used to sign in to iCloud directly. You can revoke it any time from appleid.apple.com.

Troubleshooting

• "Authentication failed" — double-check you used the app-specific password, not your regular Apple password
• 2FA is required to generate app-specific passwords — if you don't have 2FA on, enable it first (Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In and Security)
