How to update your payment method
Update your card or bank account any time without disrupting service.
Steps
- Open your dashboard → Billing → Manage billing
- This takes you to the Stripe billing portal
- Click Payment methods → + Add payment method
- Enter the new card or bank account details
- Set the new method as default
- (Optional) Remove the old method
The change takes effect immediately for the next invoice. Your active subscription is not interrupted.
If your card was just declined
Stripe automatically retries failed payments according to the schedule below. You'll get email notifications from Stripe at each step:
- Immediately — first attempt
- +3 days — retry
- +5 days — retry
- +7 days — final retry, then SaraDesk soft-suspends your account until you update the card
During soft suspension, Sara still answers incoming calls but tells callers your account is being updated. Reactivation is instant once payment succeeds.
