SaraDesk SMS Program Disclosure

Last updated: June 9, 2026

This page describes the SaraDesk SMS messaging program in full detail and exists to give Twilio's A2P 10DLC review team, our customers, and other interested parties a single source of truth for what messages we send, how customers opt in, how to stop receiving messages, and what data is collected. Everything below is visible without filling out any form.

2. The Opt-In Consent Language (verbatim)

The text below is the exact consent language shown on our signup form. The user must check the box for this consent before our backend will accept the signup submission.

Above is a visual reproduction of the signup-form consent block. The actual checkbox is rendered in the same style at saradesk.com/signup, directly above the “Continue to checkout” submit button. Submitting the signup form without the checkbox checked is rejected by server-side validation.

3. Opt-In Workflow (step by step)

  1. The property manager navigates to https://saradesk.com/signup.
  2. They fill out the public signup form with their company name, contact name, business email, and mobile phone number.
  3. They pick a subscription tier (Starter, Growth, Pro, Enterprise, or Pay-as-you-go).
  4. Directly above the green “Continue to checkout” submit button, they see the cream-colored SMS notifications card (visually reproduced above in Section 2). Checking the box is optional and not required to use SaraDesk. Customers who leave it unchecked still complete signup; they simply receive notifications via email only.
  5. They click “Continue to checkout” and are redirected to Stripe Checkout to complete payment.
  6. If the customer checked the SMS consent box, the first transactional SMS — an account setup link — is sent to the verified mobile number immediately after Stripe payment succeeds, and subsequent transactional messages are sent thereafter.
  7. If the customer did NOT check the SMS consent box, no SMS is ever sent to that customer. They receive every notification described in Section 4 via email instead. They can opt in to SMS later by updating their notification preferences in their account dashboard.

An audit log of every signup (with timestamp, IP address, consent-checkbox state, and consent text version) is retained by SaraDesk for compliance review. The opt-in flag is stored on the customer record and gated through a server-side check (prefersChannel()) so that no SMS-send code path can fire for a customer who has not explicitly consented.
